Due to these risks, healthcare providers closely monitor its usage, dosage, and duration to ensure the patient’s safety.

Consult Your Healthcare Provider

It cannot be emphasized enough that prednisone should only be used under the guidance of a qualified healthcare provider. Self-medication or relying solely on over-the-counter options without professional advice can be risky and may not provide the desired results.

Consulting with a doctor is crucial to determine the best course of action and to weigh the benefits and risks of using prednisone. If prescribed, it is recommended to download a Prednisone checklist for important information and precautions.
