CBD replace Prednisone?

When I found out there was a company in Israel doing research to counteract prednisone side effects, I was thrilled.
It meant someone else actually cared about this huge issue.

I hoped to someday interview the founder, David Bassa, but didn’t think I’d ever be able to connect with someone on the other side of the world.

But then I found someone in between!

Ron Lev, whom I interviewed last fall, was the connection I needed. He’s from Israel and knows people there, but lives here in the USA.

Finally, the three of us connected and did a three-way Zoom interview.

(I know we’re three years into Zoom becoming a major thing, but I’m still amazed that I can interview someone on the other side of the world as if they’re right in my living room!)

Funny thing was, that at the exact same time, I was interviewing him, my parents were on a tour in Israel to see the Holy Land during the holiday season. They could have knocked on his door!

All of that came together at once.

Coming into this interview, I was hoping to find out if there was anything that could really help counteract prednisone side effects.

I wanted to hear from the horse’s mouth that there really is help in the form of CBD.

But what David told me blew me away.

I was at the ground floor in my hopes, and throughout the interview, he took me on an elevator ride through the levels of how CBD can help those of us stuck on prednisone.

Could CBD make the dose of prednisone required be lower?

Could CBD replace prednisone?

Watch now!

David’s company, Stero Biotechs, has an approved patent to reduce or eliminate the need for steroids in various diseases, and has recently been sold after clinical trials demonstrated a reduction of up to 80% in the need for steroids.

These trials suggest the potential life-saving applications of CBD, a cannabis-based compound, which is now being researched and developed in partnership with health management organizations like Kaiser, and cannabis and pharma companies.

This CBD could potentially be used to treat GVHD, lower cholesterol, and ulcerative colitis.

The FDA has deemed CBD safe for consumption, and Senator Schumer is spearheading a bill to make the compound legal.

Moreover, President Biden recently granted access to greater research opportunities in the United States. Bringing the possibility of utilizing CBD-based solutions for medical uses closer to reality.

Despite the promise of CBD-based treatments. Final FDA approval is necessary before pharmaceutical companies can take advantage of this new breakthrough.

Therefore, the potential of providing an alternate treatment to prednisone moves ever closer.
